How to Make Italian Pasta and Tomato Sauce

Pasta is a worldwide loved dish, but Italian Pasta? None can resist to that!

How to Boil the Pasta

To make great pasta, is important to follow these rules while boiling the pasta. First of all, use a really big pot so the pasta will not stick together. Keep in mind to add a lot of water, a little bit less than full, so it can fit in the pasta.

Now cover the sport and let the water boil.  Add two tablespoon of salt while it boils.  Now put the pasta inside the pot and occasionally mix it with a wooden spoon just to make sure the pasta is not sticking together.

After adding the pasta do not cover the pot and cook it for as long as it say in the package, give it a taste just to make sure is well done. Now it’s time to get out the water from the pot, you will need a colander for this. And that’s it, easy to make.

How to Make the Tomato Sauce

In order to prepare the famous Italian tomato sauce you will need:

75 ml Olive Oil- high quality

30 g butter

5 garlic cloves- crush them with the side of your knife

300 g tomato sauce

45 gr. onion, diced

120 gr. cherry tomatoes, quartered

Black pepper

¼ tablespoon of cayenne pepper

30 ml of white and red whine

Start heating in a pan, the olive oil, the butter and the garlic.  Be careful not to burn the garlic. After the butter is all melted and garlic is friend, put this set it aside in a small bowl.  In another pan which is already high heated, add some olive oil just to cat the bottom. Now it’s time to add the tomato sauce, but only half of it (150 g), add one tablespoon of sugar and 3 tablespoon of sea salt. Wait until the bubbles of sauce get small, cause only then the tomato sauce is really done.

Now add the 45 gr. diced onion and 10 gr. quartered cherry tomatoes. Mix it all together with a wooden spoon. Now add the other 15 g of tomato sauce. Add some fresh lemon zest also, to give it a better taste. Now is time to add the olive oil- butter- and garlic we putted aside in the beginning. Add some black pepper also,  ½ tablespoon. Now cover it and let it cook for 10 minutes in medium/low temperature. Now add the cayenne pepper. Let it cook for five more minutes. Now turn off the heat and move the pan.
