Weather has an immense effect on human mood and emotions. Sometimes we are sad and angry and sometimes we are happy for no special reason. Basically all this happens due to change in weather and environmental conditions. This change may be positive and may be negative. This effect is known as “seasonal affective disorder” (SAD).
Sunlight and clear weather has some positive effect on human mood and nature. People feel warmed up and mentally ready to do their activities. They feel energetic and hopeful. This creates a positive aspect in their mind and soul. And obviously this leads to a good change in human personality.
Clouds and Rain
Some sensitive people symbolize clouds and dark weather to gloom and sadness. This type of weather can also affect lifestyle that is non-conductive. Some people get sad and some get frustrated. This type of feeling can cause loneliness and depression especially in winter. People just wanted to leave the world and go on the other side of the world where no one could disturb them or question them.
But the same weather has different effect in mood in summer. I summer, cool air and cloudy weather refreshes the mind and mood. We feel happy, changed and determined. We prefer to go outside, meet people, play games and enjoy as much as we can.
Another habit that is greatly disturbed by weather is our eating habits. Our eating habits and routine are always different in different weather. In winter, we eat more food because more energy is required to keep the body warm all the time due to very low temperature outside.
While in summer, we eat comparatively less food. We drink more and more water. Due to high temperature outside, our mood demands cold and yummy food rather three times meal.
In short, there are many ways in which weather can affect our mood. But weather has direct effects on our hormones that control our mood.
